Biographical Info
Patrick Rodriguez serves as Vice President and SBA Lender at Capital Bank, where he specializes in financing business acquisitions, partner buyouts, and growth initiatives through SBA lending programs. He works closely with business brokers, entrepreneurs, and referral partners to structure practical, executable financing solutions that support ownership transitions, commercial real estate, and expansion opportunities.
Prior to joining Capital Bank, Patrick spent 17 years with the U.S. Small Business Administration, most recently serving as Deputy District Director of the Tennessee District Office in Nashville. Throughout his SBA career, he supported business owners and lending partners across Southern California, Tennessee, and North Carolina, helping entrepreneurs access capital and navigate SBA programs and services.
Patrick is an Army veteran and has taught the SBA’s Boots to Business curriculum to thousands of transitioning service members and their spouses. He brings a unique perspective to SBA lending, combining policy expertise with real-world execution.
He grew up in Austin, Texas, earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas, and completed his MBA at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was also selected for a competitive fellowship with the Partnership for Public Service in Washington, D.C.
